The Nike Mind Collection hit the streets with more hype than anyone could have expected. The cushy recovery shoes designed with a set of nodes connecting the foot to the ground beneath sold out in less than 5 minutes on debut day, despite a release in two silhouettes with multiple colorways each. Now, to keep the hype stoked, Nike is back with a new colorway of the Mind 001 in a monochrome shade of Mineral Slate green.
The Nike Mind 001 Mineral Slate keeps the same monochrome design as previous pairs of the slip-on mule, adding the emerald green Mineral Slate color to the entire one-piece molded silhouette, from the perforated upper and column side panels to the ultra-cush footbed. The mini Swooshes on the toe and side panels are done in metallic silver just like other pairs, and of course, the set of 22 nodes built into the sole are bright orange.
Designed to redirect mental energy with focus on every step, the multi-directional nodes serve as connections to the ground, recreating a barefoot sensation that specifically targets pressure points in the foot. The mind-altering shoes are one of Nike’s biggest new silhouettes for the upcoming year, and alongside this green colorway, we’ve seen previews of a fragment design collab on the horizon.
