The Nike Kobe 8 is the latest pair from the Mamba line to get the Protro treatment, joining the Kobe 3 as the focus of the performance retro collection. Coming back from the 20-teens streetwear era when bright colors and graphic overlays ran the sneaker game, the Kobe 8 Protro is dropping in a pink Mercurial colorway this week, bright orange fireworks for the holidays, and next year, the return of a tri-color Easter pair.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro Easter is rising from the archives in the same tri-color snakeskin mesh that first dropped in 2013, this time with Protro updates for modern performance. Originally released as part of an Easter collection with a KD 5 and a LeBron 10, but this year, it looks like the Kobe 8 will be the only one back for the holiday.
Featuring a light blue shade across the toebox, yellow on the side panels, and dark blue on the heel, the entire upper is made of a soft mesh with snakeskin-print overlays. A speckled black midsole adds more graphic flair, with clean white on the outsole bringing it all together.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro Easter will be released Spring 2027 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $200. For all the latest Nike Kobe Protro news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
