Nike Basketball’s retro program for Kevin Durant is hitting high gear as another fan-favorite KD 6 emerges from the archives. During the model's initial run, Durant was putting up video game numbers on a nightly basis, making it one of the most popular signature models of the era.
Following a string of successful re-releases of Durant’s 6th signature model, the Nike KD 6 Texas is officially confirmed to return this holiday season, as reported by Brandon1an. Originally hitting shelves during the peak of Durant’s power in the 2013, the Nike KD 6 Texas was amongst the myriad of popular colorways of the KD 6 that proliferated the streets during the time. If you ever rocked cargo shorts with Nike Elite socks, this retro was made with you in mind.
Longhorns Legacy
The 2026 retro channels the spirit of the University of Texas Longhorns where Durant played his lone season of college hoops before being drafted second in the 2007 NBA Draft. The colorway is anchored by a sleek, predominantly black synthetic upper, serving as the perfect canvas for a distinctive teal paint splatter that dances across the lateral side.
That same shade of Green Glow makes up the oversized Swoosh that stretches from the side panel to the toe. Burnt Orange, the signature shade of the Longhorns, pops across the medial side, laces, and tongue as well as the KD branding on the lateral heel. Underfoot, the colorway is completed by a speckled midsole tinged with orange accents and visible Air unit in the heel.

The Nike KD 6 will be released December 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
