While the sophomore slump didn’t necessarily hit Ja Morant’s signature sneaker line with Nike, his third sneaker, the Nike Ja 3, is miles ahead of his first two models. That’s not just coming from personal opinion, as you can sort through social media and message boards to see high praise for Ja’s new sneaker, which was officially unveiled in the Max Volume colorway earlier this year. Since then, images of tons of colorways have hit the ‘net, both official and unofficial, like the Halloween, Light Show, NYvsNY, and White Black Coconut Milk. Next up for Morant’s sneaker is a Grizzlies-friendly Cobalt Bliss Black rendition.
The silhouette maintains its engineered mesh base and raised TPU reinforcements constructed out of Ja’s name, featuring a tri-tone mixture of cobalt bliss, black, and glacier blue. These scratch mark designs are done in a cobalt bliss hue, while the portion that forms the “A” in Morant’s first name is done in black. A glacier blue Swoosh helps create the “J” in Ja, though the medial side opts for a tonal black look for the logo.
