Jordan Release Calendar

One of the most beloved Nike Air Foamposite Pro colorways is set to make a serendipitous return this holiday season. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom is returning for its 20th anniversary after originally releasing in 2006 as a part of Nike’s Fantastic Four-inspired collection that included the Air Force 1 Invisible Woman, the pebbled Nike Dunk High The Thing, the flame-themed Nike Air Max 97 Human Torch, and the tonal blue Air Max 90 Mr. Fantastic.
Added onto that original collection is a two-tone Foamposite Pro that fans lovingly nicknamed after Marvel’s First Family’s longest-standing villain despite not having the same level of connection as the other models in the pack. Not only will the Dr. Doom Foams be making their first appearance since 2016, but Stan Lee himself couldn’t have planned a better comeback as the shoe is set to return the same year that Robert Downey Jr. is set to take on the role of Dr. Doom in one of the biggest films in the history of movies Avengers: Doomsday.

Devin Robertson is a writer and sneakerhead from Memphis, TN. Outside of sneakers, he enjoys film, comics, and music.
The sneaker keeps true to its minimalist look, with its solid black upper taking center stage. The villainous hue also takes up the eyestay, tongue, and heel. Just like Doom shows hints of altruism at times, a bit of brightness seeps through the silhouette. Hints of white on the sockliner, Swoosh, and outsole add some contrast to the silhouette, creating a sneaker more understated than the king of Latveria’s standard silver and green garb, but still maintains a regal gravitas.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom is set to be released Holiday 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizes, the retail price is set at $240. For everything Nike Foamposite, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
