For decades, the Timberland 6-Inch Boot has been the unofficial footwear of New Yorkers – a symbol of grit, style, and big city swagger. But sometimes you want something you can actually hoop in, like the Nike Dunk Low Wheat. Revealed as part of the Beaverton brand's fall collection, this fresh colorway feels brand new yet pays homage to something decidedly old school.
Back in the day, when Nike was first trying to break into the Japanese market, it dropped a wave of region-exclusive sneakers under the “CO.JP” banner (short for “Concept Japan”). Among the most coveted was the Wheat Dunk – a pair that’s since become the stuff of sneaker legend. So not only does this new Wheat nod to a classic pair of Timbs, it also pulls clear inspiration from OG, too.

Working on top of a soft nubuck base, this Dunk Low is overlaid by short-haired suede throughout, all touched up in the iconic Wheat palette. A Swoosh slices across the sidewalls, while additional "Nike" branding is embroidered on the tongue tag and heel badge in Black. Down south, the midsole is housed in gum rubber for insane levels of grip, and the sneaker is finished off with 6-Inch-coded rope laces that tie everything together.
If you, like many of us, didn't manage to secure the original CO.JP release, the new Nike Dunk Low Wheat is the perfect alternative. Dropping in Fall 2025, it will be available at Nike and select retailers online and in-store in men's sizing for $120.
