Over the last few years, Nike has cycled through the entire “Be True To Your School” Pack, releasing them in both high-top and low-top form. Considering the Nike Dunk was originally marketed as a basketball silhouette for collegiate basketball teams, it only makes sense for Nike to expand past the original teams they were created for, as seen with the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “USC.”
While not bearing a direct connection to USC, the colorway comes dressed in the school's colors of red, white, and gold. The upper comes constructed out of a smooth leather, using the standard two-tone colorblocking the Nike Dunk is famous for. A white perforated toebox comes surrounded by a red mudguard and eyelet overlays, joining with the white mesh tongue.
Running up the tongue is a set of white flat laces, sitting below the gold Nike branded tongue tag. Popping off the white midfoot panel and collar is the heel overlay and Nike Swoosh, which works back to the heel tab in the same tone. Matching red sockliner and insole are contrasted by the gold Nike branding imprinted on the insole. Rounding out the look is a white Dunk midsole and red rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low USC was originally scheduled to release on October 19th, 2022. After a small delay, it is now set to release on November 9th through Nike, the SNKRS app, and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and gradeschool sizing, men’s pairs will retail for $110.
