The Whitaker Group has been on an all-out collab assault this year, teaming up with every sneaker brand under the sun for a steady run of collab pairs from across James Whitner’s retail Voltron. If you ask us to split the collabs up between individual shops, though, there’s no doubt that APB has had the best drops of the bunch.
Dunk Dynasty
Joining pairs of skate-ready puffed-up adidas Powerphase pairs and two Air Jordan 11 Retro Low colorways on the way, APB’s classic collaborations continue into the holidays with a Nike Dunk Low collection featuring denim and patchwork quilt details. One of the best collaborations from TWG this year, official photos give us the closest look yet at the Midnight Navy colorway from the upcoming pack.
Taking inspiration from raw denim and grandma’s quilts, the pair starts with indigo blue denim on the toe, lace, and heel panels, plus the side panel Swoosh. On the toebox and side panels, a quilt adds colored thread in deep shades of green, blue, and red, with a salmon pink quilted base on the side panels and more color sewn on top. The collab adds white stitching to all the paneling for even more sewing-machine style, and fuzzy blue laces to round it all out.
