After having transitioned from the on-court choice of many collegiate basketball teams in the 80s, the Nike Dunk has now found its way onto the sidewalks and Instagram feeds of the world, however, it truly hasn’t seen a massive overhaul since its initial inception. Changing all of that is the Nike Dunk Low Remastered, a modern-day take on the iconic model that brings a DIY aesthetic and updated cushioning while maintaining the DNA of the original. Already seen in a handful of colorways including “White Gum,” we’re now set to receive a “Medium Olive” colorway come 2023.

Utilizing a mixture of leather and mesh across its upper, the model is clad in olive shades with a deeper hue of this color taking over the base layer mesh. Leather overlays around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel receive a slight change compared to the original Dunk while the tongue gets a radical overhaul thanks to its inverted design, exposed foam, and nylon pull tab. Tonal laces match the various overlays and jumbo Nike Swoosh along the midfoot while accenting pops of orange land on a horizontal Nike-branded tongue tag and via a leather strip on the quarter panel. Back on the collar and sockliner we find a brown Nike dubs “earth” takes over while the insole features Air Zoom Strobel branding. Underfoot, the same Dunk midsole design stays true to the OG while the aforementioned cushioning system replaces the old-school cup sole. Rounding everything out is the slightly tweaked rubber outsole that comes in tan, wrapping up around the toe to cover a small portion of the mudguard.

The Nike Dunk Low Remastered Medium Olive is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
