Nike’s original marketing campaign for the Dunk still keeps finding a way to remerge nearly 40 years since Be True To Your School was printed nationwide. These collegiate-inspired colorways have become common since The Swoosh brought the Dunk back in full swing in 2020, with the original St. John’s pair coming on a Dunk Low back at the turn of the new decade. While we saw a re-release of the pair in 2023, 2025 (which marks the Dunk's 40th birthday) will be host to a women’s exclusive variant under the eco-conscious Next Nature lineup.
The sneaker comes with recycled, synthetic materials across its design and is nearly identical in color blocking and the actual colors used. Synthetic red leather graces the mudguard, eyelets, heel overlay, and Swoosh, while white pops are on the toe, tongue, midfoot panel, and collar. While all of this stays true to the original, including the red lace set and sockliner, the tongue tag gets a makeover with white Nike branding and a red woven label, flipping the OG's design. Down below, the sneaker has a white rubber midsole paired with a recycled rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low NN St. John’s W was released on January 20, 2025, and is available now through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is $115.
