Nike's longstanding partnership with the University of Oregon has been fruitful. The brand has helped raise awareness for UO's athletic programs and honored the school with various footwear releases. One series in particular, Ducks of a Feather, has been a hit since the NIL partnership with Divison St. began. After seeing the What The Ducks of a Feather Pack in October, a new DOAF x Nike Dunk Low has surfaced, the Black Duck.
The Ducks of a Feather x Nike Dunk Low Black Duck looks exactly how it sounds, completely blacked out. Various materials, such as suede on the toe and eyestays, can be seen throughout the upper. Perforated nubuck adorns the tongue and side panels while more suede wraps around the heel. The signature duck feather design is on the heel overlay, while an embroidered patent leather Swoosh is on the sides. A classic black rubber midsole sits atop a translucent outsole with an Oregon Duck hang tag included. Inspiration for the all-black color and elevated materials comes from Nike's co-founder, Phil Knight, who has a penchant for wearing all-black outfits. Knight's signature is also included on the silhouette
The Ducks of a Feather x Nike Dunk Low Triple Black Luxe What The Duck Alternate will release November 28, 2024, through GOAT's Black Friday event. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $325.
