Out of all the new signature models from Nike Basketball, the Book 1 has leaned more into thematic colorways. Many of these drops over the last year, and ones planned for the future, all take inspiration from things important to Devin, like his dog Haven, the city of Phoenix, and his high school, Moss Point. While we just got a look at a potential fragment design collaboration on the Book 1, images of one of the first pairs for 2025 have emerged.
Inspired by the town of Sedona, Arizona, the canvas upper of this Book 1 is covered in a topographic pattern. These embroidered details take on a brighter orange shade to stand out amongst the clay-colored canvas paneling, extending this bright orange to the lace set. Along the tongue tag, the Book branding remains; however, Nike adds a graphic of a red sandstone formation, one of the city's famous attractions.
On the heel, Nike has removed the book spine-inspired pull tab, seen on both the Sunset and Sunrise colorways. You'll find "No Service" on the left pair and "Sedona" on the right, referencing the area's spotty cell service. Underfoot, the pair retains its rubber midsole with a tonal clay finish and a two-tone white and clay rubber outsole.
The Nike Book 1 Sedona was released on January 1, 2025, available now through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is $140.
