South Korean retailer Worksout joined a flurry of collaborators this year who have had the opportunity to bring their vision to the Air Max 95 as part of the model’s 30th birthday. The storefront’s first two Air Max 95s, one in Sequioa and a Korean-exclusive Triple Black, redid the upper of the model, removing the human anatomy-inspired gradient paneling that Sergio Lozano sketched back in the ‘90s. Worksout’s Air Max 95 now appears in a new Thunder Blue color palette.
Like the previous pairs, the layered, gradient paneling found on a traditional Air Max 95 is removed in favor of a synthetic molded midfoot. Here, a lenticular-esque finish is applied in thunder blue. Some wavy linear patterns are applied in a lighter blue hue, passing by the chain-link textured midfoot Swoosh.
