It’s been 30 years since the Nike Air Max 95 first hit the market, and The Swoosh has big plans for the model throughout 2025. This year will be the first time in years that the model features the original “Big Bubble” Air unit in the heel, and this will appear not only on OG colorways like the Neon but also on new takes on the sneaker. Now, after getting word that the anime/manga Yu-Gi-Oh! is getting a collab on the Air Max 95, we have an official look at an inline colorway of the AM95 that seems to honor the University of Michigan.
Taking on the navy and yellow color scheme of the Michigan Wolverines, the upper of this Air Max 95 opts for a leather build on its overlays, forgoing the usual suede and leather gradient. The human anatomy-inspired paneling on the midfoot is coated in navy, matching the leather toe cap and mesh panels, while contrast stitching throughout the silhouette comes in yellow. More yellow outlines the Swoosh found on the lateral heel and makes up the Air Max logo on the tongue.
