Soccer teams have big plans for the Nike Air Max series in 2025. We just got an official look at Paris Saint-Germain’s latest take on the Nike Air Max Plus, plastered with PSG branding and references to the club, but another team has thrown its hat in the ring for Air Max collabs — Liverpool FC. The Premier League club, partially owned by lifelong Nike athlete LeBron James, has a long history of collaborating on Nike sneakers, including the LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD, LeBron 9 Low, Air Max 1, and LeBron 20, but will now get a colorway of the Air Max 95.
Considering that the Air Max 95 has a huge cult following in England and the model is celebrating its 30th birthday in 2025, it makes sense that Liverpool will get its version of the sneaker. However, they previously worked on the model in 2015, when it was launched as a JD Sports exclusive in 2020. The team’s iconic red hue is applied to multiple parts of the sneaker, including the mini Swoosh on the collar, the nylon lace loops, and the Air Max text on the tongue tag, while the rest of the sneaker opts for a black, dark grey, and white finish.
