Nike never fails to celebrate anniversaries for its sneakers, often bringing back classics, OGs, and fan favorites alongside tweaking designs to resemble the original builds from way back when closely. This all rings true for the Air Max 95, which celebrates its 30th birthday in 2025. The Black Border colorway joins the retros, including the Neon, Pink Foam, Solar Red, and Blue Spark.
First reported on by Brendan Dunne of Complex, the pair, an original colorway of the sneaker from 1996, will be “kinda limited” during this retro release. Still, we can expect the same white, hyper jade, black, and metallic silver color palette colorblocked in a 1:1 fashion just as it was in ‘96. Unlike many "OG” iterations of the AM95, this color scheme featured a two-tone black and white finish on its midfoot paneling.
