The year of the Big Bubble continues. The Air Max 95 has been celebrating a milestone anniversary since last year and Nike honored 30 years of the striped silhouette by giving the model a giant refresh. By adding an enlarged Air unit to the heel, the model is more closely aligned with the original sketches by designer Sergio Lozano.
Naturally, this begets a wave of colorways, new and old, built for the renewed model. Joining the pantheon of colorways is the Old Royal which closely mirrors a classic with subtle alterations, joining the array in women’s sizing.

While there are a plethora of Air Max 95s that the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Old Royal can be compared to over the years, its closest comparison comes from the OG itself. The model opts for Bright Mandarin colorblocking to add a slight twist to the classic. Starting from the airy mesh at the eyelets, the model implements a white to black gradient across its signature stripes. Black migrates from the stripe to the suede T-toe and midsole. The titular Old Royal hue pops up across the silhouette, accenting the eyelets, the mini Swoosh on the lateral heel, as well as the Nike Air branding on the heel and tongue. The shade also highlights the Air Max branding on the tongue and fills the Big Bubble Air unit to complete the look.
The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Old Royal releases in Fall 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizes, the retail price is set at $190. For all the news and release information in the world of sneakers and download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
