The WNBA hasn’t been the same since A’ja Wilson entered the league in 2018. The then-USC standout was selected 1st overall by the Las Vegas Aces, where she has since gone on to win three MVP awards, seven all-star selections, and two WNBA championships. Nike is now looking back at when she was selected number one overall with an all-new colorway of her signature sneaker, the Nike A’One.
Her favorite color, pink, has played a pivotal role across her various Nike A’One colorways, with the debut rendition (Pink A’ura) and the follow-up (Leo Lights) coated in pink shades. Again, the A’One appears in pink hues with this “#1 Draft Pick” colorway, though the colors used here tie back to the day she was drafted by the Aces. On draft day in 2018, A’ja was wearing a light pink dress in a hue not too far off from the one used on this colorway of the A’One.

The pearl-inspired upper, which is a call-back to the pearl necklace her grandma gave her as a child, comes in varying light pink shades, eventually transitioning into white as you move outwards toward the top half of the model. Metallic pink shades appear on the A’ja logo atop the tongue, her signature on the heel, and the TPU frame bezel down below on the sole unit. A pearlized white Swoosh cuts across the midfoot, while the look is complete with a tonal pink midsole. Inside this sole unit is a Cushlon foam supported by the TPU frame bezel and an injected Phylom midsole carrier.
The Nike A’One #1 Draft Pick will release August 8, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in extended women’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $115 and $90, respectively.
