Nike SB has led the way when it comes to limited-release colorways and storytelling through sneakers, but at the end of the day, the shoes are designed to skate. Started as a skate shop exclusive sub-label, SB has since moved to a wider selection of retailers, but Nike still shows preferential treatment to independent skate retailers with Quickstrike drops and the Orange Label ISO (In-Store Only) line, which are only available at select skate shops.
The latest Nike SB ISO drop is a Dunk in Deep Fir suede with a white midsole and, like most of the Orange Label line, a gum sole. The monochrome upper is broken up by a black Swoosh and the orange tongue logo, but otherwise, the toe, sides, and heel are all drenched in the same dark forest green. Using the original SB Dunk design with a fatter tongue and more padding, the ISO line is built to skate, not cherish. In addition to the gum sole, the ISO line is identifiable by its orange Swoosh on the tongue and orange Nike SB box logo on the insoles.
