Although his 2024-2025 campaign ended with a right finger sprain, Tyrese Maxey is looking to bounce back and have an even better season come the start of the NBA season this October. Ahead of this, Maxey will be getting his own colorways on two New Balance sneakers, a lifestyle model (the 1906R) and a performance basketball sneaker (the Hesi Low v2).
For Maxey’s take on the Hesi Low v2, a performance basketball model he helped debut last year, he’s applied a color palette similar to that found on his 1906R. Here, we see an engineered mesh base in light grey and white leather, and fused TPU overlays take over most of the sneaker. Pops of metallic silver are found on the TPU eyestay and the N logo on the midfoot, while the Hesi Low-branded tongue tag features both metallic silver and lavender shades.
Like the 1906R in the collection, the sneaker forgoes any direct references to Maxey on the upper, instead reserving his influence to the insole where his signature rests. Helping complete the upper is a light blue mesh on the heel tab, a gradient lavender to light blue on the TPU heel counter, and a two-tone set of white and light blue laces. Down below sits a light blue foam midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
The Tyrese Maxey x New Balance Hesi Low v2 will release on July 31, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
