While New Balance returns to the Y2K era with the all-new ABZORB 2000 model, the brand’s bread and butter remains heritage runners. You might be surprised to learn that the mind behind one of the brand’s more traditional and infamous silhouettes, the 1906L Loafer, actually helped design the ABZORB 2000, that being Charlotte Lee. Ahead of the launch of her brand-new sneaker, images of the next colorway of the 1906L Loafer have appeared online.
The silhouette, which is built from mesh and suede, is coated in khaki and brown shades from top to bottom. An open-spaced mesh comes in tonal khaki shades on the toebox and midfoot—premium brown suede overlays from the standard 1906R line the midfoot, forefoot, and mudguard. 1906L branding is near the lattice TPU heel counter, while the open collar is lined with greenish leather. Finishing the design is the 1906R tooling in a tonal green and black finish.
The New Balance 1906L Loafer Khaki will release Fall 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
