Aminé had one of our favorite New Balance collabs last year, helping bring the ABZORB 2000 to market with his green library-themed Biblioteca pair. Far from a one-hit wonder, though, the Portland, Oregon rapper is back with another New Balance partnership, and this time he’s embracing his Pacific Northwest roots with an outdoor exploration on a Made in USA classic.
The Aminé x New Balance 992 Made in USA popped up in a sneakerhead dream scenario, with a poster on the New Balance subreddit writing online that he randomly visited the New Balance London store and saw the pair available for purchase. Not seen before or since, the collab was purchased in a special box with a tackle box camp kit graphic and an Aminé logo on top.
Featuring a brown suede base with a mix of premium brown leather on the support and dark maroon on the mesh, the colorway is an earth-tone blend that fits in on the trail or the streets. Just like the box, Aminé’s signature logo is added on the heel tab of the shoe.
The Aminé x New Balance 992 Made in USA doesn’t have a release date or retail price, but in a new Instagram post, the rapper hints at another upcoming New Balance collab this fall and calls out his friend for leaks.
