After 20-plus years on the market, New Balance updated one of its Made in UK classics, the New Balance 991, with version two. Since the model's launch in October 2023, the sneaker has become the flagship model for the Flimby factory, pumping out new colorways each month, both GR releases and collaborative efforts. Now, while we all await further news on Salehe Bembury’s take on the 991v2, a new inline Cuban Sand Harbor Mist colorway has appeared.
Like other 991v2s, this Made in UK silhouette takes on a premium construction in terms of materials and craftsmanship. Pigskin suede in a sandy beige hue lands on the mudguard, midfoot, eyestays, collar, and heel, while a similarly-shaded mesh base is on the toe and collar. Grey-shaded nubuck overlays hit the toebox, with the same material and color appearing on the New Balance Made in England-branded tongue label.

More branding details are located across the upper, including the famous N logo on the midfoot, the relocated 991 text that now finds its home on the lateral heel, and a “v2” logo on the heel tab's spine. Down below, the sneaker features a two-tone cream and white midsole with grey hits located throughout, paired with a black rubber outsole that encapsulates the FuelCell cushioning within.
The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Cuban Sand Harbor Mist will release in Spring 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $250.
