New Balance’s craftsmanship is renowned worldwide. For decades, the team in the UK has been focused on the premium qualities of the Boston-born brand. With each Made in UK release comes an adherence to the highest quality materials and construction.
The team in Flimby is taking one of its flagship models for the Made in UK line and giving it a subtle makeover for Japan. Japan’s love for New Balance has always been crucial for the brand’s growth, with the rare premium New Balance 1300 JP taking its moniker from the model’s explosion in the Land of the Rising Sun back in the early 80s. Now New Balance’s legacy in Japan continues with the Made in UK 991v2 Brown.
The New Balance Made in UK 991v2 has motion across the globe, with the iconic mesh and suede lifestyle runner getting a Japan-exclusive colorway that opts for a tonal brown look that’s further elevated by its material. The model features a brown mesh base flanked by deep dark smooth brown suede overlays that border on black.

Reflective grey accents appear on the N branding on the side panels, the support webbing on the toe, and the heel tab. Completing the monochrome dark chocolate look is a black ABZORB midsole with brown support pieces embedded throughout.
The New Balance Made in UK 991v2 will be released August 14, 2026 via atmos and select retailers. Available in men’s sizes, the Japanese exclusive sneaker is set to retail for ¥39,600 or around $250.
