First leaked back in the Fall of 2021, the New Balance 9060 didn’t raise any eyebrows at that time, that is until one of their perineal collaborators, Joe Freshgoods, put his spin on the first two colorways (Penny Cookie Pink & Baby Shower Blue) of NB's latest model to release. Within those early photos was a color all too familiar to plenty of NB silhouettes, seen on the upcoming New Balance 9060 Sea Salt Surf.
Pulling elements from both the 99X series and the 860v2, the silhouette brings Y2K vibes to the modern-day with its multi-layered mesh, suede, and leather combo. On the base, a grey mesh sits below the various overlays, starting out in a sea salt white near the toe with hints of beige as you work your way back. Along the lateral midfoot, a 3M reflective N logo gets white and black trimming surrounding it, though the medial side logo gets embroidered in a dot matrix-esque font. Atop the mesh tongue sits a window with NB 9060 branding against a teal backdrop. On the heel, a brown NB logo sits atop the grey heel overlay just above the fused plastic overlay. Underfoot, a chunky dual-layered midsole gets a tri-tone look of white, cream, and grey, finished off by the black and teal rubber outsole.
The New Balance 9060 Sea Salt Surf has seen a very limited release through select boutiques, though a wider release through New Balance and other storefronts is set for July 16th. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $150. To stay updated on the latest from New Balance and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
