New Balance has been riding a wave of success with its mesh runners, and the 1906R has been a standout in this category. The 1906R has captivated sneakerheads through inline colorways and collaborations. Building on this momentum, New Balance introduces a fresh variant—the 1906L Loafer. Initially debuted through a partnership with Junya Watanabe and seen in various renditions since, the model is partaking in the 2025 Grey Days celebration with a classic Raincloud colorway.
The New Balance 1906L Loafer retains the essence of the original runner while infusing it with a loafer's casual elegance. This model features a mesh base, providing breathability and comfort. The mesh is complemented by suede and TPU overlays, offering durability and a premium feel. The Raincloud color palette, a favorite among New Balance fans, dominates the design with shades of grey. The suede panels on the mudguard, toe, and midfoot showcase a harmonious blend of light and dark grey tones, giving the loafer a sophisticated look.

The TPU heel counter adds a modern touch and additional support, while more suede details can be found on the tongue portion of the loafer. Branding is subtle yet present, with the 1906L logo on the lateral heel and additional branding on the insole. Underfoot, the loafer features a white and grey foam midsole, ensuring cushioning and comfort, paired with a black rubber outsole for traction and durability.
The New Balance 1906L Loafer Raincloud will release May 14, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
