The New Balance 1000D might be fresh on the scene, but it’s already making serious waves. After peeping the Silver Metallic Mint just last week, we're now getting up close with the New Balance 1000D Arid Stone – and it rocks.
If you've never heard of the 1000D before, we really don't blame you. Much like how the 1906R has spun off into its own sub-silhouettes, like the 1906A and the 1906W, the Boston brand is now evolving the 1000 into new directions. The 1000D distinguishes itself with an upper wrapped in a tightly knit netting that stretches from the back of the heel all the way to the front of the shoe. This gives it a raw, almost deconstructed edge that's unlike anything we've seen before.
New Balance 1000D Arid Stone
With this version, Arid Stone leather with a metallic sheen wraps around the toebox and sidewalls. The "N" logo is finished with glossy rubber for a futuristic vibe, and this effect extends towards the tongue, where you'll find the classic "1000" branding. Dusty blue accents take over the entire inside of the sneaker to make things pop even more.
But the 1000D isn't just about style, it's about substance, too. The midsole is built with maximum comfort in mind, crafted from plush ABZORB cushioning and stabilized by a Stability Web shank that keeps everything nice and supported. It's then rounded off with a grippy rubber outsole to keep every step steady.
The New Balance 1000D Arid Stone is scheduled to release in 2025 for $160 via New Balance. For your best chance to secure your size, make sure you grab Sole Retriever's mobile app to stay updated on the latest sneaker drops, raffles, restocks, release reminders, and streetwear news.
