The Jordan Spizike had its moment in the early 2010s as the silhouette, which was meant to be a one-off special release honoring Spike Lee’s connection to Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan lineup, dropped in many different colorways. One pair, which even made the top of our best Spizike colorways list, was famously gifted to Obama in 2012, the Bordeaux colorway. With the Spizike now on the market in low-top form, Jordan Brand is bringing back the pair gifted to the former president.
The same color scheme and colorblocking are applied to the low-top iteration of the Jordan Spizike, though this version has one slight change. The mudguard running across the toe and back to the heel is now rendered in a darker grey, almost black hue, differing from the original’s light grey hue. Outside of this, the rest of the model is identical. This includes the elephant print mudguard and heel in white and grey, white tumbled leather paneling on the toe and midfoot, and black hues on the tongue and wing eyestay.

Pops of primary color, including red, yellow, and blue, are found on the lace set, the Jumpman logo on the lace cover, the wing eyelet, and the sockliner, all inspired by the color scheme found on the Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux. On the heel tab, we see a portrait of Spike Lee, a logo for his 40 Acres and a Mule production company. Finishing the sneaker is the white, black, and blue midsole with red contrast stitching on the toe, a green Air unit in the heel, and the grey and red outsole below.
The Jordan Spizike Low Obama will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
