Jordan Brings Bred 4 Vibes to New Spizike Low Colorway

Even with the 40th anniversary of Jordan Brand taking place this year, the label didn’t bring out a retro of the classic Jordan 4 Bred. It’s a bit too soon for that, as a reimagined pair dropped last year. For fans of the black and red Bulls colorway, though, Jordan is coming through with an 85 Bred 1 for the Holiday season, and doing its best takedown attempt to satiate the constant desire for more Bred 4s. Starting with a Jordan 4 RM Bred earlier this year, Jordan is back with a Spizike in the same classic Chicago mix.

The Jordan Spizike Low Bred harkens back to Spike Lee’s early days with Jordan Brand as Mars Blackmon, the movie character turned Jordan mascot who played alongside MJ in commercials for the Jordan 3, 4, 5, and 6. Lee’s signature Jordan model, the Spizike, combines attributes from those four models, plus the Jordan 9 and Jordan 20.

The Bred Spizike Low starts with blacked out elephant print on the toe and heel panels, with a layer of black suede above that swooping down to the side panels, and premium black pebbled leather covering the rest of the upper. The lace cover gets a red Jumpman logo to match the red on the front of the outsole, and the red on the end of the lace wing, which features speckled grey on the rest of the plastic stabilizer. Like every Spizike, Lee’s Mars Blackmon graphic is featured on the heel of the left shoe, and his 40 Acres and a Mule production company logo is added to the right heel.
