Surfing the web in the ‘90s was much more relaxing, and it may be hard to believe, but also more enjoyable. You didn’t get stuck doomscrolling a social media feed that was curated by an algorithm, and web designers at the time went all out on creating engaging content that blew our collective minds. Just take a look at the OG Space Jam website, which, thankfully, was preserved and remains navigable even 30 years later. It’s a bit clunky and may not be as aesthetically pleasing as a modern webpage, but there’s a certain charm to it that is no longer part of the internet experience. In a nod to the website's Lunar Tunes section, Jordan Brand has created a new colorway of the Jordan Son of Mars Low.
Joining the ever-expanding Space Jam 30th anniversary collection from Jordan Brand, which includes sneakers and apparel, the Son of Mars Low takes its look from the Lunar surface. While no direct homages or references to the Space Jam website’s soundtrack section, the colorway does borrow its Lunar Tunes name from the archival page. Moon-like grey nubuck and suede are used on the toebox, midfoot, and collar, while a lilac purple suede makes up the AJ 3-inspired overlays on the toe cap and heel overlay.

Of course, with the Son of Mars tracing its origins to Spike Lee’s Jordan line, the director and his 40 Acres and Mule logo are prominently featured on the lace cover, with the only real Space Jam reference being reserved for the insole. Here, you’ll find the 30th anniversary logo featuring the Jumpman emblem. More Jumpman logos are found on the AJ 4-inspired heel tab and the Jordan 5-inspired tongue. Finishing the shoe is the AJ 4 midsole, which comes with a blue finish and has glow-in-the-dark details that wrap down onto the outsole.
The Jordan Son of Mars Low Space Jam Lunar Tunes will be released Holiday 2026 alongside the rest of the Space Jam x Air Jordan collection through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $165 (men), $130 (GS), $85 (PS), and $60 (TD).
