Jordan Brand loves to play around with the Air Jordan 1 model, often giving us new takes on the sneaker in the form of new color schemes and variants. 2024 introduced us to a new golf-ready sneaker version that leaned into the trend of slip-on silhouettes as the Jordan 1 Golf Mule debuted in the Bred colorway in February last year. After a slew of OG colors, like the Shadow, Royal, and UNC, and the Nothing But Net rendition, Jordan Brand is giving us a Chicago colorway to kick off the 40th anniversary of the AJ1.
Like other pairs of Jordan 1 Mule Golf shoes, the sneaker has a lace-less construction and a cut heel portion for slip-on wear. As for its color palette, the classic white, varsity red, and black combo MJ made famous in his rookie year with the Chicago Bulls is the same colorblocking as the original. Red hues land on the mudguard, eyestays, and what is left of the heel counter, while white appears on the toe, tongue, and midfoot.
Black contrasts hit the Jordan Golf tag on the tongue, the sockliner, and the Swoosh on the midfoot. Another instance of Jordan Golf branding is found on the insole, written out in a custom font in white atop the black insole. Finishing the slip-on mule is the usual Air Jordan 1 midsole in white paired with a specially designed Jordan 1 outsole in red for a spike-less, golf-ready traction pattern.
The Air Jordan 1 Mule Golf Chicago will release on January 17, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $110.
