2025 is full of original and fan-favorite Air Jordan retro releases. Kicking off this 40th-anniversary run for Jordan Brand was the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 Bred launch, which was quickly followed up with the Reimagined Black Toe AJ1. Throughout the rest of the year, expect even more OGs to come back, including those on the Air Jordan 8. On top of the Aqua colorway, the original Bugs Bunny pair is returning after its previous retro releases in 2003, 2008, and 2013.
Looking back, you might think that the connection between Bugs Bunny and MJ began when Jordan starred in the 1996 classic Space Jam, but their history dates back to the original launch of the Air Jordan 7 in 1992. In a commercial that premiered during Super Bowl 27, Bugs Bunny laces up a pair of AJ 7s to help MJ in a 4v1 pick-up game, but later, he would sport the Air Jordan 8 in a commercial that featured Marvin The Martian in 1994. He also would wear this white, black, and red colorway in Space Jam, helping cement the connection between Bugs Bunny and this OG AJ 8 from 1993.

As for the sneaker itself, it will feature the same colorblocking and material makeup as the OG, coming coated in a primarily white leather finish. Grey nubuck lines the collar and heel portions, while a black and red buckle system holds the lockdown strap in place. Chenille patches on the tongue take on a combo of white, grey, and red, surrounding the blue embroidered Jumpman logo. The iconic TPU overlay finishes the design with a red, grey, and red pattern, a grey and red midsole, and a white and grey outsole.
The Air Jordan 8 Retro Bugs Bunny will release in Holiday 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $210 (men), $160 (GS), $100 (PS), and $85 (TD).
