Over at The Whitaker Group, A Ma Maniére has reigned supreme in collaborative efforts, dropping a slew of Air Jordan collabs over the last year and a half. During one of James Whitner’s Free Game seminars, the founder of TWG dropped a hint that we would see an A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 before the year's end. This upcoming Violet Ore colorway on the AJ 4 seems likely to be the sneaker that Whitner was teasing earlier in the year.
Coming in a combo of violet ore, medium ash, black, muslin, and burgundy crush, the sneaker comes covered in a violet ore nubuck across the upper. Details from the netting on the tongue and midfoot and the winged eyestays all borrow this same tonal shade, while the AJ 4 Flight tag atop the tongue comes in a similar, yet slightly different shade. Back along the heel, a metal button with an "A" logo makes an appearance while the heel tabs feature the text "It's not about the shoes..." and "It's about where you're going" split between the left and right shoe, respectively. Rounding out the look is the AJ 4 midsole coming in black and muslin, while the rubber outsole underneath gets covered in muslin and burgundy crush.
The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 4 Retro Violet Ore is slated to release on November 17th, 2022, through A Ma Maniere via a raffle and an online drop, while Nike SNKRS and select retailers will drop them on November 23rd. For their raffle, A Ma Maniere is switching things up from their standard release, asking customers to submit a video on social media about issues that are most important to them. A Ma Maniere will host a second FCFS drop on November 23rd, 2022, at 9 AM EST/6 AM PST. Coming exclusively in men’s sizing, the retail price is $225.
