Every April, the entire Major League Baseball roster takes the field rocking Jackie Robinson’s number 42 on their backs to honor the legendary player and civil rights icon. Not only does MLB commemorate Robinson, but so too does Nike and Jordan Brand, who create special colorways of sneakers for Jackie Robinson Day. For the first time since Nike’s annual tradition of honoring Jackie began in 2021, the public will have a chance at owning a Jackie Robinson Air Jordan sneaker with an upcoming Jordan 4 colorway.
Jackie Robinson Jordan 4 Details
Though we have yet to see actual images of the Air Jordan 4 Jackie Robinson, this speculative mock-up shows what it could look like. The upper will more than likely come covered in white leather, with cement grey and black speckled accents on the wings and portions of the midsole. Brooklyn Dodgers blue is seen on the wing eyelets, the front half of the midsole, and on the lining of the tongue, but it is also present on arguably the best feature of the honorary sneaker.

The heel tab’s cement and black-speckled finish is contrasted by blue logos, with the left shoe featuring the traditional Nike Air logo and the right featuring Robinson’s number 42. Another nod to Jackie is found on the inside of the tongue, which traditionally reads “JORDAN” upside-down, but now reads “ROBINSON.” Finishing the shoe is the grey, white, and blue outsole.

According to zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Jackie Robinson will be released on Jackie Robinson Day 2027 (April 15) through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230.
