The return of a classic is finally upon us. After a decade in the vault, the Air Jordan 3 Retro True Blue is getting another retro run. There’s a bit of a debate online about the shade of “True Blue” used on this 2026 retro of the AJ 3, but in actuality, it’s closer to the original 1988 release than the 2016 that we’ve all become used to. Not only will the whole family be able to match in True Blue 3s, but if you or someone you know plays baseball, they can lace ‘em up on the diamond.
Air Jordan 3 Retro True Blue MCS Cleat Details
Jordan Brand is no stranger to converting its classic Air Jordan retros for the diamond or the gridiron, and the Air Jordan 3 Retro True Blue MCS Cleat follows the pattern seen on previous conversions. The upper remains identical to the 2026 retro, with white tumbled leather used on the majority of the paneling, accenting elephant print in grey and black on the toe, eyestays, and heel overlay, and pops of red on the Jumpman atop the tongue. There are, of course, hits of True Blue on the middle and top eyelets, the sockliner, and the Nike Air logo on the heel.
But where the shoe diverges from the classic retro Air Jordan is in the tooling. Instead of the traditional AJ 3 midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel, Jordan Brand adds an exposed foam with plastic cleated spikes on the outsole. It’ll be comfortable for a cleat, but this isn’t a Nike Cryoshot, so don’t try to rock these off the diamond.
