OG Air Jordan colorways always bring out the masses, but when Jordan Brand finally releases previously sampled versions of retro J’s, it sends sneakerheads into a frenzy. There’s something so special about copping what was once virtually impossible to own. Fans of the Air Jordan 6 will be pleased to hear that in Spring 2026, the Air Jordan 6 Retro Reverse Infrared sample, a pair that for many only existed through eBay listings and old catalogs, will get a release, albeit with some changes.
For those unaware of the history, the Air Jordan 6 Infrared was one of the original colorways released in 1991. Ahead of Jordan Brand retroing the model in 2000, the label went through various sample versions of the Infrared colorway that included what we know as “Reverse Infrared” (even if the pair doesn’t reverse the color scheme). Instead, the pair, which dates to 1999, adds infrared hues to most of the midsole instead of reserving the shade for the heel and parts of the toe.
