The Air Jordan 14 has cemented its place in the sneaker mythos thanks to its sleek sports car-inspired build and the historic on-court moments like sinking the famed Last Shot during the 97-98 NBA Finals. Yet it isn’t just the original run of the Air Jordan 14 that has made its mark. The Air Jordan 14 Chartreuse, first released in 2005, paved the way for future acclaimed colorways as the first retro of the legendary shoe. Right as the iconic shoe is set to turn 30 in 2027, it’s only fitting that its first retro kicks off the year.
The Air Jordan 14 Retro Chartreuse broke new ground for the silhouette in being the first AJ 14 to adopt a nubuck upper. The smooth grey colorway also evokes the spirit of another icon in the Nike Air Max 95 Neon with its splash of bright green accents.
The titular shade of chartreuse pops up on the Jordan branding throughout, including the Jumpman on the toe, lateral side, and heel. It also hits the heel tab, 23 logo, and taillight-like details on the heel of the midsole. A silver carbon fiber shank adds a metallic accent to the colorway while playing up the sports car theming of the model. Finishing the look are hints of black on the tongue, heel counter, and the sole unit.
According to zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 14 Retro Chartreuse will be released on January 16, 2027, via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $215. For the latest news and release dates in the world of streetwear and sneakers, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
