Jordan Brand is all about the classics. Since their current retro line began in 1999, many colorways have been re-released multiple times. For example, the Air Jordan 3 Retro Black Cement, returning in November 2024, was seen previously in 2001, 2008, 2011, and 2018. For Spring 2025, Jordan Brand is bringing back a few classics, such as the Air Jordan 5 Retro OG Reimagined Black Metallic and the Air Jordan 9 Retro Cool Grey. Another coveted pair is set to join them, the Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game.
After initial reports that the Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game would be released as part of JB's Spring 2025 lineup, Sole Retriever confirmed that an all-new black and red-based Heritage Twist colorway of the AJ 12 was set to drop, not the coveted OG Flu Game. This pair comes in black and varsity red, drawing inspiration from the Air Jordan 12 Retro Concord, released in 2020.

In a bizarre twist and a first, Jordan Brand has officially dropped the Air Jordan 12 Retro Heritage Twist Black Red from their Spring 2025 lineup. Full details on this canceled release can be found here. In its place, the Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game will return. This surprise came to fruition due to the initial false rumors of the Flu Game comeback led to spiked hype from the sneaker community and the negative feedback received from the Heritage Twist Black Red pair.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game will release on March 1, 2025, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. An early release at NBA All-Star Weekend will take place exclusively at Foot Locker in the Bay Area. Available in full-family sizing, retail is set at $200, $150, $90, and $75, respectively.
