Although the days of Jordan Brand giving us pack releases on the regular are long gone, they’ve dipped their toes into the archives and have revived pairs that, at one time, could only be purchased through a two-pack of sneakers. Some recent pairs that returned solo include the Air Jordan 6 DMP and Air Jordan 5 Raging Bulls, with this trend continuing in 2025 through the 40th-anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 1. Returning for the first time since its 2017 retro is the Air Jordan 1 Mid New Love.
While we mentioned that the pair was last released in 2017 as a solo pair, that version was much different from the original 2007 colorway released in the Old Love, New Love pack. This two-pack of sneakers featured the Old Love AJ1 Mid, the Black Toe AJ1 in mid-top form, and the New Love AJ1 Mid, the pair pictured here with its yellow and black color scheme. The pairs are meant to represent MJ’s old love of basketball and his new love of motorsports, as, at the time, Jordan was beginning his motorsports team.

The new rendition of the Jordan 1 Mid New Love is much closer to the 2007 release than the 2017 retro, as it brings back the bubble Wings logo instead of the stamped design seen the last time the sneaker came out. Another difference between the previous two releases is removing the Jumpman logo back on the heel, opting for a clean finish on its yellow leather overlays. Aside from that, the sneaker remains identical with yellow leather details on the toe, eyestays, Swoosh, and heel, and black suede on the mudguard, lower eyestays, midfoot, and collar underlay.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid New Love will release in June 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $135 (men), $120 (GS), $80 (PS), and $65 (TD).
