The entire sneaker industry is pivoting faster than an undersized forward stuck in the paint. After going all-in on the World Cup for this month’s soccer madness, brands from across the sneaker landscape are switching it up and hitting the NYC hardwood to celebrate the world-shaking New York Knicks championship. Of course, Jordan Brand wasn’t going to be left out of the parade party.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Last Dance at the Garden keeps up the Jumpman’s low-top Air Jordan 1 momentum with a tribute to Michael Jordan and the Knicks at the same time. Bringing red floral graphics to the black toe, lace, and heel panels, the rest of the upper is covered in white leather, except for the Swoosh, which adds more black with a shimmering gold outline. There’s a small tribute to the Knicks found on the added lace loop near the tongue tag, which is done in blue and orange, while the insole splits these shades between both the left and right shoes.
As for the Jordan connection, the pair harkens back to Michael’s 1998 pre-retirement season, when he laced up a pair of Air Jordan 1 Highs in the Chicago colorway for what he imagined might be his last game at Madison Square Garden. Of course, Jordan would return a few years later as a member of the Wizards, but let’s remember his final days with the Bulls instead, agree?
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG Last Dance at the Garden will be released September 26, 2026 through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $155. For all the latest Jordan news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
