This year, Jordan Brand has been celebrating its 40th anniversary. And to mark this massive milestone, it has been rolling out some of the boldest, most creative sneakers we’ve seen in years – like the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low SE Rust Canvas.
In the label’s four-decade-long history, there’s truly never been an Air Jordan 1 Low quite like this. While most pairs are crafted from smooth leather or, if you’re lucky, supple suede, this one opts for a rugged canvas construction designed to withstand serious wear and tear. Built on top of a light bone base, it’s layered with contrasting overlays that fade from beige to orange to brown. That distinctive gradient effect extends to the lacing system and even the Nike Swoosh, giving the sneaker an unmistakably hand-dyed, artisanal look.

The iconic Jumpman logo and winged basketball emblem land on the tongue and heel, respectively. But rather than being embroidered like usual, they appear as metallic bronze plaques for an elevated, jewelry-like finish. DIY-inspired stitching runs across the panels, while underfoot, the Air midsole is deliberately pre-aged to amplify the vintage aesthetic and give the pair a lived-in character straight out of the box.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Rust Canvas was released in Asia on September 19, 2025. A wider release is expected sometime during the Holiday 2025 season. Retailing at $130, it will be available at Nike online and select retailers. If you’re planning to add a pair to your rotation, make sure you grab Sole Retriever's mobile app.
