Jordan Brand has big plans for the Air Jordan 1 silhouette in 2025, as this year is the 40th birthday of the sneaker that spawned what sneaker culture has become. This year, we’re getting a handful of OG AJ1 colorways, including the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 Bred, Air Jordan 1 Retro Reimagined Black Toe, and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High UNC Reimagined. For those who may not be a fan of the reimagined look, as this year’s pair is supposed to mimic the aged details from the Lost & Found AJ1, the Air Jordan 1 High Method of Make will be making its best UNC impression.
Though not identical to the colorblocking of the AJ1 High UNC, the pair does sport a similar mixture of white and blue, with this pair opting to include some extra shades of blue not found on the OG. Traditional UNC blue hues are found on the lower eyestay and the large Swoosh on the midfoot, while a powder blue hue comes placed on the perforated toebox, Jordan Wings-laden collar overlay, and the heel overlay. As with other Method of Make Air Jordan 1s, the sneaker features tumbled leather construction and enlarged paneling.
