Swarovski has long partnered with footwear brands to add luxury and the jeweler’s signature crystal gems to various models. While most recently making news with its Air Max Plus collaboration and an ultra-limited collab with adidas on a pair of baseball cleats, Swarovski is now linking up with Converse on the Run Star Trainer.
Across the deep emerald green upper sits a combo of luxurious materials, including suede and satin, alongside varying-sized Swarovski crystals, making each pair a 1-of-1. Suede overlays in a tonal hue hit the T-shaped toebox overlay, the vamp, eyestays, and heel overlays. On the base, visible on the midfoot and the tongue, we see a satin material that, like the suede panels, comes with tonal stitching details.
The show's star is undoubtedly the Swarovski crystal-laden portions of the upper, which outline the iconic Converse chevron logo and star on the midfoot and extend down toward the toe. Other branding details include the Converse text debossed on the heel tab, the text on the insole, and a star logo on the rubber that wraps back on the heel. Finishing the design is a gum rubber sole unit.
The Swarovski x Converse Run Star Trainer Deep Emerald will release on December 13, 2024, through Nike SNKRS, Converse, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $300. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
