In September, Asics launched a collaboration with Japanese musician Taka from ONE OK ROCK to solve a problem that many live performers face—uncomfortable footwear on stage. The duo introduced the Asics-One silhouette, which promotes good posture and stabilizes the body during movement, in a Black colorway but is now following this up with a White rendition.
Like the original, this White version features an easy on-and-off construction through its laceless, slip-on design. For its base, we see a lightweight mesh in tonal white hues reinforced by a TPU cage with a flame pattern to help increase stability during various movements. Running up the spine of the silhouette is a stitching seam, meeting the split-designed tongue and the zipper that adds extra lockdown support when needed.
Down below, the sneaker contains a tonal molded midsole with a wavy forefoot shape to increase flexibility. The wrap-up sidewall and heel design also aid in improving stability during movements. The grippy outsole, also in a tonal white shade, finishes the design.
The Asics-One White will release on December 18, 2024, through Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $225.
