Dinosaurs are having a moment in the sneaker industry. After a quick preview of a three-pack of Jurassic Park collab colorways on the Nike Ja 3, the latest collaboration between Japanese fashion label doublet and Asics is a pair of the Gel-Quantum 360 I AMP designed to look like two T-Rexes looking up from your feet.
The doublet x Asics Gel-Quantum 360 I AMP takes its dinosaur inspiration from the shape of the shoe itself, with doublet’s design team pointing out the dinosaur teeth-like shape of the silhouette’s sole, and the streamlined upper that, to them, resembled a dinosaur head. From there, the project came to life with a realistic T-Rex face graphic added across the upper in scaly shades of brown, tan, and black, with additional padding inserted throughout to add textured nostrils and eyes for a creepily ferocious look.

The teeth-like outsole is done in white to resemble the prehistoric chompers, with red above that to represent the gums, or maybe its last meal. A lowercase “a” Asics logo is added in the middle of the toebox between the dino nose, and on a suede patch at the lateral heel with a matching Gel logo patch on the medial side heel. To bring the concept together, the shoes come in a completely custom box made to look like another T-Rex with its own sharp teeth and Jurassic snarl.
The doublet x Asics Gel-Quantum 360 I AMP will be released January 10, 2026 through doublet, Asics, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest Asics collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
