With Asics hailing from Japan, it’s not uncommon for the footwear giant to look around the Asia-Pacific region for collaborative partners. A handful of these have come from Australia, previously working with Earls Collection and Up There, and once again, this has rung true. Asics has now tapped Temptation Vacation, the lifestyle brand inspired by Australia’s Gold Coast, for an Asics Gel-DS Trainer 14 collab.
Initially released in 2009, the Gel-DS Trainer made a comeback in GR form in early 2025. This Temptation Vacation project marks the second collaboration since the silhouette came back. Kiko Kostadinov was given the green light to work on the sneaker, launching his project in February.

As for Temptation Vacation’s take on the sneaker, we see a mixture of materials, including layered open-spaced mesh, suede, leather, and synthetic materials, that come in cream and olive hues. Suede panels on the toes and heel match the olive shades on the midfoot tiger stripes and slightly contrast with the olive on the lace set, tongue, and sockliner.
The cream mesh on the base complements the white and metallic silver hues on the overlays. Final details include Temptation Vacation’s logo and motto on the right shoe, featuring their TV emblem and the phrase “Tune out, dial in,” co-branding on the insole, and a tonal olive midsole.
The Temptation Vacation x Asics Gel-DS Trainer 14 will release on May 25, 2025, through Temptation Vacation online. A global release via Asics and select retailers will occur on May 30. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
