UP THERE and Asics Connect for a Glacier Grey Gel-Kayano 12.1 Sequel

Australian retailer UP THERE is looking back for its new collab with Asics. After introducing a Natsukashii-inspired Gel-Kayano 12.1 in green earlier this fall, the Down Under retailer is back with a sequel, continuing the Japanese theme with the Japanese sneaker brand.

Continuing to channel natsukashii, the Japanese word for feelings of happy, nostalgic memories of the past, UP THERE revised the Kayano 12.1 silhouette with a clean glacier grey colorway. The toe, side panel logo, and support panels are done in white leather, with grey mesh added to the rest of the upper. A red lace stay in the middle of the tongue adds a hit of color, with a bit more red on the outsole. Otherwise, the icy grey colorway reminds us of the good times, before the glaciers started melting.

The UP THERE x Asics Gel-Kayano 12.1 Natsukashii in green kept the same grey mesh and red accents, but added shiny green patent leather instead of the clean white of the new pair. After the first pair sold out immediately worldwide, UP THERE will be only be the only place to cop this colorway.

The UP THERE x Asics Gel-Kayano Natsukashii Glacier Grey will be released October 24, 2025 through UP THERE in-store. Early access has been sent to select customers, but the worldwide online release is expected on October 27 at 8 AM AEDT (5 PM EST). Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200, but with shipping from Australia, expect to pay a little more if you’re not in the outback.
