ANTA and Kyrie Irving have used the ANTA Kai series to convey some of Irving’s most personal mantras and beliefs. The idea of staying in motion and not letting yourself sit still in transition periods, something Kyrie is honing in on as he’s still recovering from his torn ACL, is front and center on the all-new ANTA Kai 2 White Phantom.
A pristine white engineered mesh upper comes accented by icy silver hues on the tongue and the midfoot logos. Tonal white hues continue onto the lace set, mesh tongue, sockliner, and TPU heel tab, the latter featuring artwork inspired by Kyrie’s Native American heritage. Reinforcements on the toe take on a tonal white look, leaving the upper devoid of color.

Below sits a white rubber midsole with a semi-translucent green rubber outsole partially riding up the sidewall of the sole. Here, we see Kyrie’s signature applied to a branding window near the heel and a glow-in-the-dark finish on the green rubber portions of the outsole. Inside the model sits the inscription, “You don’t stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing."
