Kyrie Irving has had a long and complicated professional career, and as the Dallas Mavericks star makes his return to the court after a year of injury recovery, Irving’s latest ANTA sneaker release is going back in time to one of his most memorable off-court moments. In the process, he’s bringing back a throwback to his OG ANTA signature.
The ANTA Kai 1 Chief Hélà Red is the first Kai 1 to drop this year, following a strong run of Kai 3 colorways, a Kaibrid mix between all three Kai models, and plenty from Irving’s lifestyle line. With Irving and ANTA set to bring the Kai 1 back for a new season, the Chief Hélà Red colorway is a personal story in sneaker form, “inspired by Kyrie Irving’s journey to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, where he completed his ancestral ceremony and received the name ‘Little Mountain.’”
Featuring a red textured toe and support structure covered in diamond and triangle prints, the rest of the upper features a knit mesh in a deeper red. The ankle collar brings back the native American theme with a flowing set of red suede wrapping around the heel, and gold accents are dotted throughout, including Irving’s logo on the tongue and jersey number on the vamp.
The ANTA Kai 1 Chief Hélà Red will be released October 24, 2026, through ANTA and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $135. To keep up with all the latest ANTA Kyrie news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
