Although Puma has dominated Formula One, adidas has made some progress in the sport by capturing one of the most popular teams on the circuit — Mercedes AMG Petronas. Following up on the two capsules, one launched ahead of the Miami Grand Prix and another ahead of the season’s start, the team is launching its take on the adidas Ultraboost Light 2 V2 Low.
A fusion silhouette of sorts, the adidas Ultraboost Light 2 V2 Low takes details from the Ultraboost 5 and Ultraboost Light 2.0 and combines them with STRUNG construction, a proprietary textile construction used by adidas on multiple high-end performance silhouettes. We see the STRUNG paneling take over the toe and midfoot, placed above a stretchy mesh that appears on the tongue, while the back half features a different mesh weave and a golden TPU heel counter.

Mercedes AMG branding is proudly displayed atop the tongue in gold, matching the logos found on the insole. Underfoot sits a stacked Lightboost midsole in white, featuring Lightboost branding in gold near the toe and a semi-translucent outsole below.
The Mercedes AMG Petronas x adidas Ultraboost Light 2 V2 Low Footwear White Matte Gold will release in September 2025, likely to coincide with the Italian Grand Prix, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
